Moonfall

I woke up today
and saw the moon shining.
It had an eerie look,
shining amidst the glorious sun.
I saw the moon, staring into
me. Why
is the moon there,
anyways? It feels closer,
everytime. I couldn't help
but feel it would sometime
come to the earth and uncover
all of its secrets at once.
Is it time, Moon?

Children gather outside,
they see the moon falling.
And they still play. Will
they be their own friends?
I do not know. I have
a question to ask.
Can I play, too?
Hide and seek.
Is it time, Moon?

Life is going outside,
and I'm still here. Looking
at the moon.
It feels like it's been a while
since I last saw you, Moon.
The carnival draws near.
Might I be ready to
celebrate you, Moon?
Is it time, Moon?

People out there know
there is time for everything.
Dawn is our life,
even for the terrible fates.
I must dress-up, join
the revelry of outside.
I want to live,
before my self is consumed.
Consumed by everything.
Is it time, Moon?

It is the dawn of a new day.
Moon, come join us.
Join us and dance.
Celebrate.
Celebrate days, and nights,
and twilights, and dawns.
Does it feel good to do the right
thing, Moon?
Is it time, Moon?

Moon, come down to Earth.
And dance,
dance with me.
Is it my time, Moon?
